On 17 September 2008, SP Ausnet wrote to the Commission proposing a Rule Change relating to the pass through of easement land tax in Victoria. The Rule Change proposal seeks to amend the National Electricity Rules (NER) to enable SP Ausnet to more accurately pass through an easement .


On 23 February 2018, AusNet Services submitted an application to the AER under clauses 6A.7.3 and 11.6.21 of the NER for a negative pass through of easements land tax for the amount of $4,422,331 ($nominal, GST exclusive). The AER has determined that the proposed pass through amount is appropriate and meets the rule requirements.
